What is it about the end of summer that makes us want to do more vaulting? The thought of crisp apples and happy horses? The crunchy leaves? The bountiful farm stands on the way to the barn? The hurricanes? Whatever it is, we've been whipping up ideas and offerings faster than you can say Irene. Pico is tanned and rested and we're exicted to announce a full line up of activities:
New Vaulting Sessions
This fall we're offering TWO NEW SESSIONS! One for beginners and one for those with some experience. Places are still open for our late Friday beginners class and for the Sunday afternoon session, where dancers, gymnasts, riders and experienced vaulters of all ages are welcome. If we have enough interest we'll offer another session, so please let us know ASAP.
The NEV Six-Pack!
Do you run a school, pony club, riding, gymnastics, dance or sports program? Maybe you'd be interested in our new six-pack program. We loan you a practice barrel for 4 weeks and teach a group of up to 6 students the basics. Then the last two weeks, they come out to our barn and try their new skills on the horse. It's a great new program you can offer to your existing students to spice things up—cross-training is always a good thing! Email us for more details.
Clinics
We have a couple of sizzling clinics in the works—one with two top vaulters (a gold and a silver—and former national reserve champion). We're also planning a little cross-training ourselves—on the flying trapeze, and maybe even a session with a ballet instructor, acrobats, and others. Care to join us? Then quick, friend us on Facebook or bookmark our website. We also be sending notices. A medal test is also in the works.
Kick Off Your Boots
Also on deck sometime around Halloween, we'll be hosting another of our famous "Kick Off Your Boots and Gve Vaulting A Go" workshops—a free event designed to introduce the curious to the exictement of vaulting. We'll be posting a sign-up for that soon on our website and Facebook page, so be sure to friend or bookmark us.
See? There is something here for for you! We hope you'll join us sometime this fall.
